    Do you hate to read?

    Try Quick Picks:

    If you think you hate to read, try choosing a book from the Quick Picks List. These books rely on the input of teenagers and tend to be very high interest.

    DHS Library has a display of Quick Picks by the movie display. All Quick Picks in the DHS Library have a yellow dot on the spine of the book.


    What is Tayshas? :

    		Tayshas books are recommended books for high school students. These books are chosen by the Young Adult Round Table (YART) members of the Texas Library Association every year. The YART members have certain criteria they follow to choose books.

    DHS Library has a display of Tayshas books by the movie display. All Tayshas books in the DHS Library have a bright green dot on the spine of the book. Some of these books have book trailers to go with them.

    Maverick Graphic Novel List :

    Maverick Graphic Novels: GN are written in comic book format. These have become very popular in the last few years. The graphic novels on this list have been voted as the best in this category. We have many of these in the DHS Library.

     

     

     

    Lariat List:

    Lariat books are adult fiction books that are recommended by the Texas Library Association (TLA).

     

     

     
    Shelfari :
    		Shelfari is a great way to organize all the books you read. You can also join groups and have great book discussions.
