    InfoCentre is our online computer catalog and is used to find books and videos in the DHS Library.

    FollettShelf eBooks :

     

    FollettShelf eBooks is our online digital library. Students and teachers may read these books online or check them out for later online use. There are fiction and nonfiction titles, which may be read for pleasure or used for teaching in the classroom. These eBooks may be accessed 365/24/7. Please see your librarian for your individual log on information.

    Ebsco :

    EBSCO is a comprehensive collection of full text periodicals, biographies, primary source documents, essays, encyclopedias, almanacs, reference books, pamphlets, newspapers, transcripts, photos, maps and more.

    ABC-CLIO:

    ABC-CLIO is a comprehensive social studies database that includes American and World History, Government, Geography, African American Experiences, Conflict and Controversy in Society and Popular Culture in America and the World. ABC-CLIO also has an eBook Collection. Click on the icon in the table above.

    Career Cruising will help students plan their future. It has assessment tools, occupation profiles, and post-secondary education information.

    World and I:

    World and I contains theme oriented information which features thousands of images and articles on global cultures. The perfect cross curricular resource for Social Studies, English, Science, Arts, Spanish, and ESL.

     

    Novelist Plus:

     

    Novelist Plus is a database of fiction and nonfiction titles that are dedicated to integrating books in the classroon and across the curriculum. This database is not quite ready for use just yet. Check back soon.

    Merriam-Webster's Dictionary :

    Merriam Webster's-Collegiate Dictionary provides pronunciation, function, etymology, definition and thesaurus information. You will have to log in to Encyclopedia Britannica to use this dictionary.

    Encyclopedia Britannica:

    Encyclopedia Britannica Online is an Internet resource that has encyclopedia information, Internet guides, and links to magazine articles. Britannica also has a world atlas, dictionary, thesaurus, historical timelines, images, and multimedia

     

    Britannica Spanish Edition:

    Encyclopedia Britannica Spanish Edition is the Spanish version of our other Encyclopedia Britannica. This would be a great resource for any Spanish speaker or any student taking Spanish.

     

    Encyclopedia Juvenil :

    Enciclopedia Juvenil is a Spanish division of Encyclopedia Britannica and is helpful for beginning Spanish classes. It provides a Spanish elementary encyclopedia, images, videos, and learning materials.


    Global Reference Center:
    Global Reference Center is a division of Encyclopedia Britannica which has an extensive collection of foreign language content including Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and French.
